Ecstatic.....

It has been a great beginning to a very hectic week. First of all the weather has been beautiful. We have had a relief from last weeks temperature, which was really HOT & Sticky.... despite the not so great weather Miguelito and I still managed to roam around NYC in the crazy heat = ) We got to go to "The High Line"which is located in downtown NYC. Before we went up to The High Line ( a public park, which was built on an elevated 1930s rail structure) we bought some sandwiches, drinks and fruits, and off we went to climb the flight of stairs. We found some seats and sat down to eat our food with a beautiful view of our city. There is a special part in the park in which butterflies are flying around. One stood on Miguelito and stayed with us for half an hour, meaning Miguelito had to stay still for a whole thirty minutes-lol- It was a long and wonderful morning. I got to take some pretty awesome pictures if I may say so myself. I really wish I could post all of the pics I took but they are just too many!!!

This week has been somewhat different, we have been crazy with helping my parents get ready for their trip. My parents and brother will be leaving to Mexico this Saturday, it was really sad to think they would be leaving for two weeks. My lovely Humberto saw that and said for me to go with Miguelito for one week and a half. It has been 9yrs since I have been to Mexico to see my family and friends, and it will be Miguelitos first time ever, we are super ecstatic and torn because my Humberto will be staying behind and it breaks our heart to leave him behind = (
I am still waiting for one thing to fall through and hopefully by tomorrow or Thursday I will be able to buy our tickets for us to leave on the 7th of August and come back on the 19th of August.

Why do I feel so happy yet so so sad at the same time?

So Much Love....

On a day like today my mom & dad got married in Mexico. 3oyrs later and still going stronger than ever. A beautiful inseparable pair. That's how I know true love does exist.

Patience and love ( a true love story):

My mom and dad met when she was 15 and he was 17, introduced by family members. For my dad it was love at first sight, for my mom - no. My dad would go visit my mom's brother just to see her.He would go to trade magazines or to "hang around". Everybody could see that my dad liked my mom. On the Saturday mornings that he would visit, my uncle would go wake my mom up and say "wake up your prince charming Miguel is on his way". Her response "shut up, let me sleep". That went on for a while until my mom and dad became friends. He would pick her up from work and walk her home, on one of those walks home he asked if she wanted to be his girlfriend she said yes. They went out for about a month and than broke up. They stopped seeing each other for a while. One year later my mom moved to NY, when my dad heard the news he too moved to NY. Once he was here he went to talk to her, and started the same routine of walking her to work and home.Once again they started going out, only thing different this time was that my mom realized he was her prince charming, after all he had left all his family behind in Mexico, arrived in NY not knowing anybody, rooming with acquaintances of acquaintances, and respected her and loved her for 5yrs. He was the love of her life and she was the love of his life, true love from the beginning meant to be no matter what.

Happy 30th Anniversary Mom & Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You are the best and I hope to see myself like that with Humberto in 30yrs so full of love and happier than ever.

.

P.S. Sorry if the story was somewhat choppy,I'm on my way out : ) and the picture quality, well the pictures are somewhat old.
The picture from above is from yesterday my daddy's b-day. Ha!! And they got somewhat shy for the kiss maybe because Miguelito was right behind them - lol...

I am so full of love and happiness I feel like I'm going to wake up from a dream at any moment...

Dum-Dum me want Gum-Gum

Phew....
What a weekend!!! Ever since Miguelito came out of school, he has kept me on my toes = ) and I wouldn't have it any other way. Our days have been packed with non-stop adventures. We even got a chance to go to the movie theater and watch Despicable Me ( third time in a row) and than sneak in to see Inception - 2 for the price of one. Yes, we are a mischievous pair = )

During the weekend we got to go to the Museum Of Natural History. One of Miguelito's favorite places to visit. So of course we had to stop by and say Hi to Dum-Dum = ) It's always exciting to pass by that exhibit, my lil munchkin gets so excited and he can't wait until he turns 7 in September so he can do the "A Night At The Museum Sleepover". We have had such hot but beautiful weather that we've spent time at Riverside Side Park soaking up some Vitamin D... We even got to see a dragon cloud trying to attack our city = ) Miguelito called him "Hiccup".
We are having the times of our lives...

My Lil Lilo = )

Sisterly Love: Yes we might bicker sometimes or get mad at each other for silly things, but in the end it's all part of the love we have for each other.
Throughout the years my lil lilo - also known as my sister Jessy (short for Jessica) has been the glue that keeps me together, she has been with me through thick and thin. When everything seemed so unbearable or to hard to endure she has been my light at the end of the tunnel. Even though she's 4 1/2 years younger than me, she has always given me the best advice and been solid as a rock in moments when I haven't been able to do so.
She is my other half and I love her to death.. I am very grateful to have her living in NYC. We get to spend time together every other day, whether it's just to eat lunch or just hang out at my place, but during the summer we like to act like tourists and while the men work us woman + munchkin - my mom, sis, me , & Miguelito - get to act like tourists = ) I wonder does she feel the same way about living near me -lol- after all I'm not that easy a sister, yes I might be sweet and all but it's not always easy peasy lemon squeezy with me. My lil lilo likes to say I'm going through early menopause she might be right = ) In the meantime we always make sure to have a blast and live life fully....

We are a very mischievous pair = ) They confuse us and think we are twins. People also think we are from India or Hawaii, even though we tell them we are Mexican-American they still don't believe us = ) Do you think we look like twins?

Before it was just the two of us and than my lil Miguelito came along and we became three's company = )
