It was a fun week leading up to Marathon Sunday. We went to the expo Thursday night : D And went to the Marathon Post Party on Saturday it was a fun evening full of music, pasta, and fireworks. Humbe missed watching the fireworks with us which really bummed Miguelito out (you will see his face in the pic he was crying because he wanted to watch the fireworks with his daddy, I don't lie when I say we are a very close family and Miguelito loves his daddy). Sunday I got up at 4:00am with Humberto, he got ready and off he went to take the bus to the start of the race - Staten Island!
It's always so much fun to go and watch the race and cheer on the marathon runners it is such an inspiration to see everybody running : D And the most exciting part - To see my Humbe pass by when he has 2 miles left to the finish line : D
Woooohhhooooooo!!!!! For our Humbe he made it : D Yeah! I'm so proud of him...
He finished in 4:15:45 : D
Humbe completed his third marathon, they say your first marathon is always the hardest but he felt that this one was the hardest. During mile 20 he hit the "wall"! He felt dizzy and nausea's,and had to walk for a mile or two. His goal for this marathon was 3:30:00 but due to the fact that he felt bad and had to walk he lost time. We are proud of him for the fact that he finished no matter the time - it bummed him out that he did more than his usual 3 hours time, but now he's ready for next year and counting down the time to the 2011 ING NYC Marathon : D

TGIF!!!! Omg, I can't believe it's Friday and that my Humbe will be running his third ING New York City Marathon this Sunday. These past few days have been filled with so much excitement and activities countign down to Sundays marathon. It's beautiful to see Central Park full of so many International runners training. Tomorrow night we get to go to the post marathon party in Central Park and then see the Fireworks. I can't wait to show you guys the pictures : D I saw this post in Marz blog today and loved it so I decided to join in on the fun. 1. My last haircut was on October 18,2010 . My split ends had split ends, it had been 8 months since i'd gotten a haircut and I was in desperate need of one : )
2. My most daring hair moment was when it was "Au Natural" Ha! Seriously it's been too long since I've been without hair color.
3. A hairstyle I'd never be brave enough to try is a Pixie cut, I'm scared to go that short. Don't get me wrong it's a super cute haircut but I'm afraid my face is kind of chubby for that even though my mami says it's high cheekbones - blah-blah-blah.The shortest that my hair has been is up to my shoulders.

4. I've always dreamt of being a (blonde, brunette or red-head) a Red - Head. I love Red and to imagine my head all fiery red is wonderful -plus Miguelito insist that I color my hair Red. But unless I decide to spend $150.00 at a Salon to really get the fiery red I want I must comfort myself with some do it yourself highlights, or just reddish brown : D
5. My go-to hair do is just let it loose and wild. Seriously I just wake up in the morning and do nothing! I don't even run a comb through my hair. What a bumb I know, but my hair really

6. My biggest hair disaster was when I was 12yrs old an my mom did a perm! on my hair.Yikes now that was horrible.You can see by my face that I was not happy. Oh the Horror!!!
7. A hairstyle I am dying to try is I am going to be silly here and say the Princess Leah hairstyle.
8. My best hair day was everyday.I love my hair and the way it curls up sometimes and the way it blows in the wind : D

The worst hairstyle I ever had waswhen I was 16yrs old I went to Mexico and decided to get Blonde Highlights, Oh but what a nightmare instead of blonde the lady who did my hair used some sort of silvery color which resulted in me looking like I was full of Grey hairs, the worst part was going back to school in September -Oh the Horror!!!
10. My hair is thick,frizzy,coarse,and a living Rainbow : D
Oh how time goes by! It seems like only yesterday we were anxiously awaiting summer and now Christmas and snow are right around the corner : D And Humbe is running his third marathon this coming Sunday November 7,2010!!! Wooohoooo... That's a whole celebration day coming up. This weekend was full of many fun activities. Including a Halloween party in Central Park and a lunch at Jekyll and Hyde - Muahahahahaha!!! Well not really! We tried to eat at Jekyll and Hyde but we only got a few steps past the entrance.In order for you to go into the restaurant you must pass a "test" - it consist of you going into a sort of elevator with all the lights off and then a projection of the tales of the crypt guy comes out and the ceiling starts coming down as if to squish you. Miguelito got so scared and started to cry that he was afraid of mummy's or something scarier coming out to get him while we ate. You will see how scared he looks by the pictures below. It was kind of funny : D I know I know how mean!

Dia De Los Muertos
In Mexico we celebrate Dia De Los Muertos - Day Of The Dead. On this day we put out offerings for our loved ones who have passed away. At exactly 12:00pm we put together our offering which consist of some of our loved ones favorite things to eat when they were alive. This is the second year that we put an offering for my Papa Betito and this is the first year ever to put an offering for my beloved father in law Albertito who Miguelto nor I ever got a chance to meet. We also put for my aunt- my papi's beloved sister, an uncle and my papi's second mami. It was very sad and heartbreaking as we put up our altar with all of us crying and remembering our family and how much we loved and missed them. But as we watch the candles flicker we love to think that they are here with us, enjoying their offerings and knowing that they are in our hearts and minds always.
It's been a week full of so many fun activities. One of them included eating so many yummy Halloween treats and we haven't even gone trick or treating yet : ) It's been a blast because it's just the beginning, Halloween is the holiday that kicks everything off from now until December : )
